Get outta yo slump.

Hey you, yea, you. It’s time to get out of your slump. Time to get off the couch, you’re ruining the cushions by sitting in the same spot every night. The words ‘meh’ and ‘ugh’ have been appearing too often in your vocabulary. Maybe it’s because you’ve been binge watching Arrested Development and depressing movies featuring Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams on Netflix. Not to mention what you are eating on a daily basis. Totinos Party Pizza again? Really? Stop. Just stop it. Your ability to know the exact time for cooked perfection (11 minutes) is terrifying.

I understand that you are in a rut. It happens to the best of us. But Lord, I am getting quite tired of your self-loathing. Cry yourself an ocean, and sail far, far away from that shit.

But you know what the greatest thing about being in a rut is? The feeling of productivity and contentment when you get out of it. So go out and do something new. And no, working in a new department at work does not count as something new (what’s up Deli?!) Go indulge yourself in a book. Explore new parts of the city. Stimulate your brain. MAYBE, just maybe, if you are feeling extra motivated go finish that ‘summer bucket list’ instead of staring at the back of your eyelids for an hour every afternoon.

And hey, some real pants wouldn’t kill ya.
